This role will research and drive system workflow discussions and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. The Applications Analyst will function as product owner, a project manager, support engineer, implementation specialist, technical trainer as well as QA analyst while executing IT projects involving one or more off-the-shelf products.

This is a contract position (with a potential to hire after 3-6 months), based in the Concerto Healthcare offices in Irvine. The Applications Analyst will report to the VP of Applications.


Responsibilities:


  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish requests from the underlying true business needs.
  • Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
  • Successfully engage in multiple large initiatives simultaneously.
  • Configure applications such as TruCare to add new feature or implement needed customizations for certain markets/products.
  • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Own new features from ideation, through development sprints, to smoke testing after deployment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams (internal and external) as well as the support teams.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Enterprise systems delivery experience
  • 4+ years of application implementation, QA and support experience
  • 2+ years of healthcare experiences, preferably population health.
  • 1+ years of agile methodologies
  • 1+ years of SQL programming
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • VSTS/TFS, Selenium/Test Automation
