THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION: APPROXIMATELY 2-3 YEAR PROJECT

The Business Analyst bridges the gap between business needs and technology delivery. The Business Analyst:

  • Develops a thorough understanding of business needs and builds relationships with business partners throughout the organization.
  • Documents business needs using industry-standard formats (including use cases, user stories, data flow diagrams, and process diagrams).
  • Translates business needs into functional requirements.
  • Identifies the appropriate technology to meet business needs based on an analysis of the costs and benefits associated with proposed technology projects.
  • Provides leadership and oversight throughout implementation to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.
  • Engages in Agile team planning and process improvement

Approximately 10 days travel per year.

  • Education beyond a Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus a minimum of six years directly related work experience.
  • Current experience with the following is preferred: Atlassian Product Suite (Jira, Confluence, Agile, Portfolio Management), Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office.
  • While not requiring frequent hands-on use of advanced programming tools, this position requires in-depth knowledge of development practices and standards, as well as detailed understanding of appropriate use and limitations of various technology platforms and programming languages. Experience with Agile Methodology is required.
  • Other skills needed include IT project management; time management and organizational skills; excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills; ability to lead high-performing project teams; ability to conduct effective meetings, interviews, workshops, full Agile planning ceremonies; change management skills; and conflict resolution skills.
  • Substantial experience in delivery of large-scale/sizable scoped projects successfully and consistently.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification helpful.
