Overview

BankMobile is seeking an experienced CFO to be responsible for all accounting, financial planning analysis, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable, treasury, and financial reporting activities. The person in this leadership role is a critical member of the BankMobile leadership team and will leads multiple process improvement initiatives across the organization. The CFO will also be responsible for investor and investment bank relations when BankMobile is spun off pursuant to a planned spin-off and merger.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional that thinks outside of the box and is unafraid to voice their opinions when necessary. The ideal candidate will experience in a fast-paced, high growth organization. Experience in a large, publically traded bank regulated by the SEC is a must to be successful in this role. Mergers, acquisitions, and IPO experience a plus.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight, supervision and management of all accounting and reporting operations.
  • Produces reporting and trend analysis, SEC 10Q, 10K and bank Statutory filings, along with overseeing investor and securitization reporting.
  • Interpret and implement accounting policy and review new deal documents, for several business units.
  • Responsible for all capital planning within organization: manage equity and debt within organization to plan for long and short term success.
  • With the CEO will lead efforts to raise capital through investors and investment bankers
  • Provide leadership to identify controls risks and drive quality improvement initiatives that span all accounting and operational processes.
  • Review monthly Management Reports and analysis to help measure business performance against budgets, forecasts, metrics and other key targets
  • Responsible for treasury activities, including buying and selling securities
  • Create presentations for shareholders and hold quarterly presentations with financial overview of BankMobile
  • Oversight of cash flow management and forecasting (including A/R and A/P) and preparation of rolling cash forecasts
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting
  • Compile and manage the annual budget process and develop monthly forecast updates and the business strategic plan;
  • Manage, develop and mentor accounting staff to build an effective team that can accurately execute all transactions and timely close each reporting period in accordance with GAAP;
  • Establish, monitor and enforce controls, policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of all systems processes and data;
  • Conduct legal entity financial statement review for owned legal entities, including preparation and review of unaudited statements of designated entities for debt covenant compliance.
  • Oversee internal control review and testing for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Coordinate, develop and present annual plan and periodic forecast and oversee annual asset impairment and residual reviews for BankMobile.
  • Oversee financial audits including the annual audit and other required governance activities;
  • Proactively manage the business needs by providing insight and analysis that helps business leaders make informed decisions based on accurate data.
  • Review annual tax provision and review/ filing of tax returns prepared by external accountants
  • Responsible for maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements


Qualifications

  • Must have 15+ years of relevant operations management experience in the field of accounting and finance with 5+ years' supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required; MBA preferred
  • CPA required
  • Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, collections, budgeting, tax, banking, cash management, and regulatory requirements
  • Accounting operations including billing, fee processing, receivables and payables management, treasury and working capital management, audit and compliance experience
  • A mix of work experience in public accounting and private industry preferred;
  • Experience in the highly regulated banking industry at a SEC regulated entity
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and establishing processes for Finance and Accounting;
  • Demonstrated ability and experience effectively developing, leading, supervising, and mentoring a financial team required;
  • An energetic, strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus;
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who will operate cooperatively and collaboratively; at all levels of the Company and possesses excellent communication skills;
  • Must be articulate and present a professional image as this is a leadership position with contact with both internal and external clients
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with ability to be productive under tight deadlines
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
  • Strong cost accounting background
  • Experience in a large publically traded Financial or Banking organization



Preferred Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft and FIS
  • Experience in the financial or banking industry
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and IPO experience a plus
  • Experience in a large, publically traded organization
