Temporary Receptionist - Reston, VA

As a Receptionist you will:
  • Receive and route incoming calls to their appropriate destination.
  • Greet all visitors providing information, directions or assistance as needed. This could include clients, vendors, new hires, applicants, current associates or business associates.
  • Order office supplies including coffee, office materials, etc.
  • Perform cashiering duties including receiving and logging in checks electronically and maintaining daily deposit reports.
  • Ensure the proper delivery of all delivered items received at the reception desk.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical functions, such as mailings, and assists with projects for departments as needed.
  • Schedule/monitor the use of conference rooms for financial advisors and other internal associates.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable area in which to greet clients, both internal and external.
  • Perform other various projects and duties as assigned, including filling in for Client Assistants at certain times.
Hours/Schedule:
  • This is a Temporary position therefore not benefit eligible at this time. Potential to turn permanent depending on future needs within the branch. On a temporary basis to last at least a few months.
  • Full time working 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-5:00pm with an hour unpaid lunch

What we look for:
  • High school diploma required. Prior receptionist/administrative experience preferred.
  • Prior financial industry experience preferred or an interest in learning financial services
  • Excellent oral communication skills; excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to handle difficult clients and situations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
