Position Overview

We are looking for an Accountant to join our rapidly growing company! As a member of the Texas Roadhouse Accounting Team, this position will be integral in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for the company’s financial statements.  With strong attention to detail, effective time management, organizational and communication skills, you will be working closely and providing support across various aspects of the company’s finance and operating functions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals and reclasses, for both P&L and balance sheet
  • Complete monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Participate in and initiate fact-finding activities associated with reconciling items
  • Prioritize day-to-day responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Analyze monthly consolidated income statement fluctuations
  • Partner and communicate with Support Center departments on company initiatives
  • Consistently apply innovative thinking to transform and automate internal processes
  • Ability to stay organized in fast-paced, high-volume environment to ensure efficient processing
  • Assist in pulling supporting documentation for quarterly and annual audit requests
  • Complete special projects/tasks, both for field-facing initiatives and internal
  • Maintain confidentiality of non-public information (insiders)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; however, consideration will be given to other four-year degrees in similar area of study with minimum of 12 Accounting hours
  • 2 years related accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient with Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft D365, PowerBI and Cadency Certification is a plus but not required

Payroll

  • Calculate monthly bonuses for all field management
  • Cross train across all payroll accounting activities
  • Partner with other teams on various Payroll reconciliation opportunities to both develop and implement solutions and efficiencies
  • Annual process narrative and disaster recovery review for accuracy
