Compensation Team Member - Shared Services/Roseville (Full Time)


Provides compensation project support to the Compensation Team to deliver end-to-end job evaluation and compensation administration services. Compiles and maintains compensation salary survey data. Pulls internal, survey, collective bargaining agreement and publicly available data into spreadsheets for analysis. Provides compensation project and targeted technical support. Performs survey compilation, participation, and analysis activities. Maintains Lawson tables and survey tools.Partners with other HR Team Members to help deliver compensation services to all Sutter Health employees and to help build a high-performing HR Service Delivery Team. Supports creating and building Compensation Team that is focused on delivering results by providing effective coaching by seeking and responding to regular performance feedback and helping in orientation and appropriate training of team members.Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).


Education\:AA/AS degree or equivalent experience required. BA/BS degree desired.

Experience\:Experience dealing with numbers and data such as from employment in a compensation, accounting, finance, or payroll position is requiredExperience working with multiple processes and serving multiple customers is requiredPrevious experience in the Human Resources or compensation field in a healthcare setting is highly desiredExperience with HR systems such as Lawson is preferredExperience with collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations, employee benefits, and researching business and labor issues is desiredExperience of supporting the administration of union contracts is desired Experience with Access is highly desiredExperience with a start-up organization is a plusKnowledge\:Knowledge of HR related Federal, State and local laws and regulations governing compensation including Wage and Hour law is desiredKnowledge of shared services center / contact center operations and associated human resource issues and solutions is desiredSkills\:Strong math skills are requiredAbility to perform day-to-day compensation administration activities to ensure that customer priorities are met Requires organization skills along with accuracy and strong attention to detailAbility to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to influence others and strong listening skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clientsAbility to coordinate with other human resources team members to deliver seamless customer serviceAbility to compile data, identify information trends and determine solutionsAbility to identify concerns before they become problems, and to propose solutions to the concerns Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt to a changing environment and adaptability to changing priorities and working with multiple customersAbility to navigate HR information management systems and applications Ability to create and run basic queries/reports, preferably with Crystal and/or Business ObjectsRequires accuracy, attention to detail, organization, prioritization and timelinessRequires prioritization skills and timelinessProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and compensation related applications Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information
