Position Summary:


Reporting to the Commercial Leader, the Mid-Market Account Executive (AE) will have the primary responsibility of partnering with Senior Reps to sell Lytx services to clients in the small to medium business market segments to achieve assigned objectives. As an AE, you will develop new business opportunities by managing sales cycles from prospecting through booking within an assigned geographic territory. The successful candidate will currently reside in either Chicago, Houston, New Jersey or South Florida and will have a background in selling recurring technology subscriptions in a fast pasted environment and will have a deep understanding of the mobile fleet and services industries.



Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Partner with mentor/senior rep to sell Lytx products and solutions to commercial fleets through in-person meetings
  • Use phone and virtual presentation resources to obtain in-person meetings with prospective customers
  • Identify sales opportunities through lead follow up, face to face and virtual meetings, networking and building relationships with potential customers
  • Collaborate with marketing, client development and client success teams to inspire helpful and compelling insight for customers to drive sales and achieve goals
  • Drive new lead generation via self-paced phone and web based activities and through networking events, trade shows and referral channels
  • Generate new sales opportunities by nurturing marketing generated leads
  • Navigate entire client organization through consistent contact in order to cultivate relationships and referrals with relevant departments and hierarchy of decision makers
  • Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close
  • Document daily sales activities in Salesforce.com automation tool, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage pipeline and perform other tasks necessary to drive sales revenue and communicate activities to sales management
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager in market to cultivate sales, networking and client development opportunities in a team selling environment
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about Lytx’s products and services
  • This is a remote sales position located within the assigned geographic region and expected to customarily and regularly engage in sales activities within the region and away from the home office
  • Frequent local travel required, more than 50% of time - occasional national travel
  • Other duties as assigned


Education, Experience & Qualifications:


  • Current resident of either Chicago, Houston, New Jersey or South Florida
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience with a strong emphasis on acquiring new customers
  • Experience to selling to “C” level Executives and/or business owners
  • Experience in presenting a sales demonstration to client
  • Strong foundation in virtual and remote presentation skills
  • Consultative, solution based sales methodology
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a Salesforce.com environment
  • History of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in the telematics industry is a plus
