Research Assistant O00060FY18


This position is for a full time (40 hours/week) Study Coordinator and Research Assistant in the Mathur lab from January – July 2018. This person will be responsible for the day to day function of a study of pain physiology. Primary job duties will include the recruitment and scheduling of participants, conduct of the study visit including implementing the standardized quantitative sensory testing protocol, keeping meticulous study records, data management, maintenance of lab equipment and supplies, and management of supporting research assistants. This position requires certification in quantitative sensory testing and pain psychophysics, significant experience with human subjects research, and strong communication and organizational skills.


Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field (completed by the end of the Fall Semester 2017) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certification in quantitative sensory testing methods.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
