Research Services Administrator S00358FY18


The Research Services Administrator is responsible for: reviewing and negotiating industry and non-sponsored research agreements to ensure compliance (Federal, State, TAMUS, TAMU, and HSC) and assessing and mitigating risk for the University; ensuring contracts can be managed and performed within the department, college, and/or laboratory; and coordinating with researchers, department heads, and deans to resolve any contract issues.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of professional experience in contract negotiation and/or research administration including contract risk analysis and management.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Ability to work under deadlines and balance competing needs. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
