The Scheduler applies his/her technical knowledge of construction to create and develop, prepare and maintain accurate planning schedules of construction projects. Their understanding of how systems, complicated and otherwise, go together to properly sequence and/or re-sequence detailed activities to ensure success of the activities for all work and completion of projects. Schedule bid proposals and multiple projects throughout the duration of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Work with estimating team and prepare construction bid schedules
  • Develop and maintain schedules and integrated master schedules
  • Work closely with team members to assist in gathering information and answering questions
  • Monitor and update daily progress reports; prepare monthly reports
  • Supervise and review all existing projects for accurate status
  • Develop scheduling support for time extensions and impact delays
  • Work with Project Managers and Engineers to control each project, identifying adverse turned or schedule slippage and recommending corrective action
  • Draft quality schedule narratives and respond to schedule comments
  • Research, analyze, and prepare project impact documentation for mitigation


Qualifications

  • 5+ years Heavy Civil Construction Project Experience
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of Primavera Systems
  • Ability to source information for problem resolution, providing customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings/renderings
  • Knowledge of construction industry jargon
  • Experience with planning and scheduling, validation, cost control, and estimating
  • Intermediate skills Microsoft Suite of Applications including Excel and spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
