As a Scheduler, based in our Morrisville, NC office you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of major infrastructure construction projects in a collaborative, team environment. You will assist in planning and scheduling activities through independent and team evaluation, selection and application of corporate schedule systems, techniques and procedures utilizing Primavera P6. Your work may include highway, rail, airport, large signature bridge and/or water construction projects under bid-build, design-build, P3 and/or CMAR delivery methods.

  • Interface with Operations, Owners, and Subcontractors to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems
  • Contribute to the development of working schedules for estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time
  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of proposal and preliminary schedule
  • Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required
  • Provide technical input for the resolution of difficult production problems
  • Consult the appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work
  • Provide information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedule
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity
  • Understand contract requirements relating to the project schedule
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of schedule updates along with a narrative for submission to the owner
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation time impact analysis for any owner caused delays
  • Maintains knowledge of Flatiron's company values and strategic plan
  • Support published corporate policies
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3+ years of hands on construction scheduling experience and/or training
  • Or 7 years of related experience if not degreed in a related field
  • Previous experience in heavy civil sector is required
