Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing is responsible for overall development, communication, and execution of business strategy and customer profitability management through pricing and value capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Drive the enablement of innovative strategic pricing approaches.
  • Understands and anticipates the impact of market conditions, field response and competitive response in support of pricing strategies.
  • Create analysis and recommendations that create new price driven value opportunities.
  • Review market trends, customer data and profitability analytics to uncover opportunity insights, ensure reasonableness of findings and seek cross functional input in pricing development strategies.
  • Clearly articulate and reinforce pricing strategies throughout the organization.
  • Maintain strong communication across the Marketing, Sales, Finance and Executive team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the commercial teams on pricing strategy and implementation.
  • Develop, Introduce and drive data driven pricing SOPs, guidelines and tools for the commercial teams.
  • Develop and Introduce tools to guide the commercial teams in developing pricing strategies, implement pricing improvement programs and track impact including scenario impact models on pricing and profitability within identified markets, customers and channels.
  • Lead annual review of current pricing strategies and development of recommendations for next calendar year.
  • Prepare executive level reports of findings and opportunities to increase price attainment.
  • Provide analysis and support for pricing initiatives including setting list price and customer specific strategies.
  • Support new product launch teams to determine new product pricing positioning to successfully obtain business objectives.
  • Works with master data to ensure accuracy of pricing information in business systems.
  • Establish and maintain competitive portfolio price database for selected competitors.
  • Provide ad hoc opportunity analysis as required.

  • Mathematical Skills: Advanced mathematics and analytics skills at the level of Post Graduate training.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in marketing, business or related with focus on finance and or statistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in related field.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally by air and car, and work occasional weekends. Must possess a valid government issued drivers license and passport.
  • Requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Windows, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word and a Business Enterprise Software system such as SAP are required. Experience with Lotus Note is highly desirable.

Desired:
  • Advanced degree preferred.
