Southeast Project Controls Manager

As the Southeast Project Controls Manager, you will provide regional project controls support and training to project teams throughout the SE Region.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:
  • Promote accuracy & transparency in cost/financial reports and schedules
  • Ensure that Flatiron processes are being executed consistently in all projects in the SE Region
  • Assist in early change order and claim identification and support claims team when needed
  • Ensure all deliverables are being performed by the the project teams on a monthly basis
  • Review all monthly deliverables with the project team identifying potential opportunities, risks, or errors
  • Review monthly schedule to ensure that we are protecting our rights
  • Generate monthly summary reports for division & executive leadership
  • Assess quarterly cash flows for validity
  • Provide budget development and project startup support
  • Deliver training support on tools and processes
  • Perform project deep dives prior to any margin adjustments
  • Support key project controls initiatives

Recommended minimum Qualifications:
  • Have an enhanced knowledge of all facets of Project Controls: Cost, Schedule & Document Management. CO development and claims experience is a plus
  • Understand Financial/Accounting reporting
  • Understand the interactions between applications; as well as, interactions between the various supporting functional groups
  • Presentation development and delivery skills primarily to internal clients
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities. This position may occasionally require a greater than 50 hour work week.
  • Ability to demonstrate good organization, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel to projects as needed
  • Basic understanding of sub and owner contracts
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree with five or more years of relevant Project Controls experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Heavy Job and ProCore is desired
  • Have an understanding of the following Heavy Civil Construction Characteristics
    • Public Sector Procurement Processes
    • Field construction processes and work flow
    • Equipment budgeting and costing
    • Estimating process and workflow
