Responsible for the College's general daily accounting activities. Such duties will include daily maintenance of bank and cash activity, including analysis and reconciliation of bank statements, ongoing monitoring of balance sheet accounts, and review of departmental journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable settlements and other general accounting functions. In addition, this role will play an integral part during monthly and year end close and audit requests. This position will also be responsible for preparing reconciliations of various general ledger accounts as assigned by the Assistant Controller and will prepare journal entries as needed.
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience in a not for profit environment desired. Public accounting experience a plus. Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and desktop software required. Familiarity with Workday a plus.

Candidate should exhibit strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, a strong customer service orientation and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Candidate must possess a positive attitude, be team oriented, quality driven, and of the highest integrity.
