Overview:


TESSCO is looking for a Strategic Account Manager, Value Added Reseller (VAR) West. You will be asked to proactively sell TESSCO products to customers via telephone, email, and social media in order to build, manage, grow, and maintain a portfolio of accounts.


Responsibilities:



  • Cultivate customer relationships in an assigned portfolio of territory accounts to drive incremental growth through solutions selling.
  • Contact customers on a portfolio of 125 accounts with a 30 day frequency to develop business and customer relationships.
  • Target and create new customer opportunities by identifying key decision makers, executing a strategic account plan and successfully positioning the TESSCO value proposition.
  • Maintain a high level of activity to include contact rate, funnel development, and win rate.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com tools and TESSCO systems to manage, track and develop customers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, yearly revenue and profit targets.


Qualifications:


  • Proficient relationship building skills on the phone, virtually and in-person.
  • Articulate, persuasive and influential communicator with high level active listening skills.
  • Strategic account planning and consultative selling competencies.
  • Professional presentation skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's Degree, or significant relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years business-to-business sales experience.
  • Track record of successful revenue and profit generation year after year.
  • Working knowledge of MS word, excel and power point.
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus.
