LGS Innovations, a leader in solving the most complex networking and communications challenges, is seeking a Technician, Electrical Engineering New Product Introduction (NPI) for our Westminster, CO office location.


In this position you will work under minimal supervision, provide technical support to NPI engineering on new products transitioning into production.  Assist with the development and setup of new processes required for new products.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Provide trouble-shooting on new products and PCAs to identify design, manufacturability and margin issues
  • Provide data and feedback to development engineering team
  • Setup, document and provide training to production for all new product processes including assembly, test, kitting, and QA
  • Support the development of board-level test automation as required 
  • Setup, document and provide training to production/CMs for all new PCA assemblies including programming and testing
  • Approve 1st articles for custom electrical parts on new and existing products to validate engineering change orders
  • Provide technical support to suppliers using LGS-provided testers
  • Create PCA rework instructions for external repair providers
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support to the production team (assembly, test, kitting, QA) as required
  • Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required
  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position




Basic Qualifications:


To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:


  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience


  • Background in the testing/troubleshooting of RF Electronics
  • Familiarity with RF test techniques
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience with test development and automation (LabView preferred)
  • Demonstrated competence with test equipment (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, DVM)
  • Soldering skills
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation creation and training
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
