Voice Technician


JOB TITLE: Voice Technician

In this position you will work under general direction, assist with voice frame audits, assessments, design, phone implementation and configuration.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Provide assistance with testing of new and existing voice circuits
  • Assist with conducting site surveys and documents current site configuration, frame inventory, and user requirements
  • Assist installation team on implementing engineering packages
  • Assist with switch and other related equipment installation, signal cable installations and cable connections and labeling.
  • Assist with documenting configuration changes at each site
  • Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
  • Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required
  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position




To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:


  • Associate’s degree in a technical area and 1-2 years of related experience or a  combination of education, skills and related experience
  • Familiarity with installing, configuring, and operating voice networks in central office environment, desired
  • Requires extensive travel (75%) to the Asia Pacific Region
    • Experience in using common test equipment (e.g. digital test sets, oscilloscopes, lineman test set, spectrum analyzers), desired
    • Knowledge of Voice design and implementation, desired


  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
