Shift On-call; minimum of 24 hours per biweekly period; Day shift (6A-6P) only; Night shift or weekends are not required Job Summary The on-call pediatric critical care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and generally functions as a member of the Division’s medical management team. The APP manages the critical care aspects of the assigned patient’s stay from admission to transfer. The APP may perform care coordination throughout the admission to-discharge period and provide outpatient/ambulatory care coordination. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education and ensures an environment of safe, quality care. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and/or nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
