Adjunct Professor of Clinical Skills - Surgery
Job Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Dean-Chief Academic Officer this role will provide instruction in clinical skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching (100%)
- Works with faculty to provide hands-on student training in clinical skills such as procedures, history and physical assessment, and diagnostic testing.
- Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduation
- Develops preparatory material, such as lectures, and then delivers to the students in assigned courses.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
N/A
QUALIFICATION(S):
- Health professional with the following degrees: DO, MD, EMT, APN, PA
- Clinical experience providing direct patient care their specialty
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills
- Please provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting.
- Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME course
