Physical Requirements
This position requires occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing). Also involves some risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste; cuts/punctures; and bloodborne/airborne pathogens.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Hours and days of week are subject to change; some call required.
Job Summary
In this position, the candidate will serve as the team leader and expert clinician within specialty infusion, supervising employees and participating in goal setting and mentoring of the specialty infusion team. Responsibilities include completing performance evaluations, coordinating schedules, and assisting in developing training programs for new pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
The candidate will actively collaborate on streamlining workflows for timely medication delivery, assist in the formulary review process, and develop competencies for new drugs added to the formulary. Serving as the primary liaison between the Specialty Pharmacy and infusion centers, the candidate will facilitate proper procurement of patient medications, ensure seamless patient care, and address infusion medication access issues.
Additional duties involve developing workflows in compliance with accreditation standards, optimizing electronic health record support, collaborating on infusion therapy plans, and engaging in professional self-development activities such as completing required training, precepting students and residents, and participating in professional organizations.

Strong clinical skills; knowledge of outpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience
Experience in home infusion, hospital infusion centers, and Specialty Pharmacy; and Specialty Pharmacy board certification preferred.
