Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry – Division of Adult Dentistry, is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member who will provide and enhance direct patient care at Kentucky Clinic, participate in the didactic and clinical training of the Division’s General Practice Residency (GPR) Program including attending clinical and on-call coverage for residents. This is a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor level. The anticipated start date for this assignment is July 1, 2024.

Responsibilities:
1. Providing direct patient care as a participant in UK-Healthcare.
2. Supervising general practice residents in the clinical care of patients in the Kentucky Clinic.
3. Participate in the on-call schedule of the attending dental staff.
4. Participating in Division patient care and teaching activities.
5. Serving as a member of college committees.
6. Conducting seminars and lectures for the residents.

General Qualifications:
1. D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited institution or proof of graduation from a non-
CODA accredited dental school and evidence that the degree makes the candidate eligible to
practice dentistry in the jurisdiction from which the applicant graduated.
2. Maintenance of a dental license within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
3. Maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. Demonstrate ability in clinical and didactic teaching.
