Job Summary
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a clinical faculty member to provide hospital-based clinical services for patients cared for at Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals, and the Hospital Medicine division’s clinical practice at the University of Kentucky Health Enterprise.
Clinical service responsibilities will be divided among assignments caring for the critically ill in our Medical Intensive Care units (MICU) in the UK HealthCare hospitals, and managing patients in outpatient clinics. This position will be involved with teaching pulmonary fellows, residents and students during consult service, and in-patient services and participation in the Department’s courses for medical students.
The individual will be expected to be an active participant and leader of division and department clinical activities, as well as to serve on clinical committees that enhance the care of patients and operation of the clinical practice.
