As an assistant director of enrollment, you will provide individualized customer service and guidance on issues — including admission, right program fit, eligibility requirements, financial aid processes, enrollment, etc. — to students and their families. You will strive to meet enrollment goals for a targeted region by assisting students, parents, and educators and will receive and process all required documents for admission and scholarship evaluation. Document processing will include gathering the necessary information to support their application and providing them with key information needed to consider enrollment with SCAD. You will become an expert on educational systems within your assigned region.

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with internal departments to ensure a smooth and successful enrollment process for students. You will collaborate with internal departments to conceptualize and implement events that contribute to recruitment efforts, occasionally traveling. You will operate management systems to record and track documents, contacts, and other information while adhering to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines. As the first staff member many applicants will encounter, you will effectively represent the SCAD brand, which includes upholding the university's mission, vision, and values. You will remain knowledgeable of all university policies and procedures to effectively communicate accurate information about SCAD locations, scholarships, housing, meal plans, class registration, and more.

The candidate should demonstrate strong presentation, communication, and strategizing skills. They will also have web and Banner knowledge. The successful candidate is enthusiastic and able to balance their drive to meet enrollment goals. The candidate must also be able to participate in special events and evening or weekend work as needed. Additional duties may be assigned at any time. 

Minimum Qualifications:       

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Ability to travel extensively  

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:   

  • Valid driver's license 

Travel Required:   

  • 10% to 20% 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
