The Department of Psychology at Dickinson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology beginning Fall 2025. Area of specialty is open. A human subjects research suite and ample lab space are available to support the successful candidate’s program of research.

The successful candidate will teach courses in the field of clinical psychology: Psychopathology, Research Methods in Clinical Psychology (with lab), and an upper-level seminar in clinical psychology; the focus of the latter two courses will lie in the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate will also teach, on a rotating basis with other psychology faculty, Design of Psychological Research (with lab) and a First Year Seminar. Teaching load is five courses per year, and research methods courses with labs count as two courses.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. We expect a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment and the ability to involve undergraduates in research. Our largest classes have a capacity of 35 students. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.

Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with 2,300 students. It is located 20 minutes west of Harrisburg, PA, and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.
