Job Title: Assistant Recruitment Coordinator

Position Summary: Partner with the recruitment and hiring team to target hard to fill positions to ensure there is an adequate flow of qualified and diverse candidates for all employment opportunities.

Department

In collaboration with the Human Resources Director, oversee the recruitment and hiring process for Gateway-Longview employment opportunities to ensure there is an adequate flow of qualified and diverse candidates for all employment and internship opportunities.

New View Alliance (NVA) is the parent company of Gateway-Longview, Inc. and New Directions Youth & Family Services, Inc. providing both agencies with strategic planning, advocacy, and shared administrative support for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Integrity, Performance Improvement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform first review of all qualified applicants conduct pre-screen interviews & follow up interviews for assigned positions
  • Represent New View Alliance and its member agencies at any external recruitment events (i.e. career and college fairs) as needed
  • Assist with the completion of reference checks
  • Extend offers of employment and notification to applicants not being selected and oversee completion of new hire documents for assigned employees
  • Process applicable background checks including medical appointments for assigned new staff
  • Participate in committee meetings that focus on recruitment and retention initiatives
  • Assist as needed with the interview process for positions, as assigned for special project/target areas
  • Stays up to date on changes in recruitment best practices to ensure effective use of Agency funds
  • All duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented with excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Qualifications
  • Associates degree and 1 year of relevant experience
