As the Associate Director of Early Care & Education Programs, you will administer developmentally appropriate, high-quality, community-based- full-inclusion Child Care Center programs. You will ensure that all center-based regulations are adhered to. You will also focus on Community Care Licensing compliance, funding terms and operations compliance, business operations, pedagogy of centers, staff development, program quality enhancement, and liaison with partner agencies.

To be successful, you should have:

•    Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or Early Care and Education (Master's preferred), with 24 units in child development, including infant development, child care administration, and general education.

•    Pediatric CPR and first aid certification, TB clearance, and required vaccinations; must obtain a cleared health screening report.

•    Minimum five years of experience working with children ages 0-5 in a licensed classroom, with experience in special needs education preferred.

•    Experience in Early Childhood Education program management, including curriculum design for infants and toddlers with special needs, staff supervision, and developmental assessments.

•    Valid California Child Development Program Director Permit or eligibility to obtain it.

Your key responsibilities as the Associate Director of Early Care & Education Programs will include:

•    Oversee business operations and implement high-quality pedagogy for center-based programs, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

•    Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of physical facilities and the care and well-being of all children.

•    Conduct developmental assessments, screenings, and family needs assessments; maintain compliance with personnel policies and licensing requirements.

•    Manage staff, lead training and meetings, and support continuing education for staff in early intervention, child development, and curriculum.

•    Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, reporting, and fund development; build relationships with community partners, funders, and key stakeholders.
