Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, performs a variety of functions to engage and educate the Haitian Creole speaking community of the Southeast Health District and to promote healthy lifestyles and prevention of chronic disease. Would work in partnership with health care providers and other human service agencies, to serve as interpreter and translator for Haitian Creole speaking clients, to provide person-centered support to individuals and families; to help improve access to care; assist with navigating the health care and social service system; support research through outreach and advocacy, advocate for individual, family and community needs; and build client capacity to increase knowledge and self-sufficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Bilingual-Haitian Creole
Preferred Qualifications:Public Health and Community Engagement experience. Strong communication skills. Training experience.
