Required License/Registration/Certification

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a Certified Bone Densitometry Technician



Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.



Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed



Job Summary

The Bone Density Technician role involves performing diagnostic DXA procedures and providing related support within the Nephrology Division. This position requires an understanding of clinical programs and involves collecting relevant medical history to conduct necessary DXA procedures.

The technician assesses the findings, assists healthcare providers in interpreting results, and generates reports based on those findings. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the work area, managing supplies, and performing other duties as needed.
