In addition, the VPBA Office manages business contracts and agreements, institutional memberships, the University's risk management/insurance program, and the open records process. The Office of Special Events is dedicated to providing quality entertainment for UTEP and the El Paso/Juarez/Las Cruces communities.
Position Information
Hiring Department: The Office of Special Events
Posting End Date: Open until filled.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Variable / flexible Monday- Sunday, flexibility is required on evenings / weekends / Holidays
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: $40,000 annually.

Purpose of Position
Summary:The Building Services/Housekeeping Supervisor is essential in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and a positive guest experience at all UTEP Office of Special Events Venues, including the Don Haskins Center, Sun Bowl Stadium, and Magoffin Auditorium. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, this role involves overseeing both internal custodial staff and third-party cleaning services to ensure top-notch cleanliness and presentation. The supervisor will also manage a team of Building Attendants responsible for basic upkeep tasks such as changing lightbulbs, ceiling tile repairs, painting, and restocking supplies. This position is key to creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for guests, staff, and stakeholders.
