Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Manager to work on our Campus Planning team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.

This individual will be responsible for managing the INL Infrastructure Planning team, which provides lab-wide strategic leadership and integration for INL’s strategic capital investments, Master Campus Planning, land and space management, and Real Property Management. Responsible for management and oversight of Infrastructure Planning Division budget of $6.5M/yr. Proactively develop and recommend strategic investment initiatives to the Executive Council. Support planning and execution of the $80M/yr. portfolio of direct and indirect infrastructure activities. Directly responsible and accountable for Laboratory and INL-level strategic outcomes for Real Property Asset Management Business System performance including responsibility for meeting PEMP 6.1 Sustain Excellence in Real Property Asset Management. Infrastructure Planning Division Programs have broad, lab-wide influence and impact to enabling the INL mission. You will directly/indirectly manage approximately 30 people.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the activities of a department or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals. Provide guidance to team members within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Responsible for the effective operation of activities of major significance to the organization. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques.
  • Execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce. Ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
  • Typically manage employees who perform similar tasks. May manage supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt staff.
  • Receive objective based assignments and determine resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Responsible for single function, location, and/or technical discipline.
  • Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect department or multiple disciplines. Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the department and possibly the division.
  • interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units.
  • Partner with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other external stakeholders.
  • Communicate and present results and recommendations across discipline.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years of experience OR Master's degree and eight (8) years of experience.
  • At least five (5) years of prior management experience is required, supervising first-line supervisors and a staff of at least a dozen.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 


Job Information: 

  • The target pay range for this position is $123,735 - $185,631 annually.  The full pay range is $103,032 - $262,740. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
