As the Clinical Director, you will provide exceptional Critical Intervention Services to individuals and their support systems while overseeing a team of clinical consultants. You will develop and implement standardized clinical practices that ensure the highest quality of care. Clear communication and collaboration are essential to your success in maintaining these high standards. In this role, you will make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment to support clinical excellence. Based at the Lafayette office, you may also travel quarterly to additional locations across California as needed.

To succeed, you should have:        

  • Educational Background: A doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) with active clinical licensure is required; a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst designation (BCBA-D) is highly preferred.
  • Clinical Experience: 2+ years of post-licensure experience as a therapist, with demonstrated expertise in working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Regulatory and Licensure Compliance: Professional licensure in clinical psychology, with DOJ/FBI clearance and required health screenings; must complete additional certifications, including CPR/First Aid and Safety Care Training.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of DSM V diagnoses and Applied Behavior Analysis, with proven clinical assessment and behavioral intervention skills, including positive behavioral programming.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated experience in supervising teams, budget management, and the ability to communicate effectively across various professional and client-facing contexts.

Your responsibilities as the Clinical Director will include:        

  • Oversee Clinical Consultants and Training: Supervise, recruit, and train clinical consultants (including BCBAs, Psychiatrists, and Clinical Psychologists), ensuring high-quality service delivery through regular feedback and biannual Model Fidelity assessments.
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Standards: Establish and maintain best practices in clinical care, collaborating with Quality Assurance and Operations to create and revise training materials, program designs, and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Program Quality: Maintain advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and continuously evaluate clinical practices to align with industry standards and ensure compliance.
  • Strategic Planning and Expansion: Contribute to the Clinical Department's strategic planning, support service expansion, and oversee budget and training initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Analyze program data, identify service gaps, and implement improvement plans to enhance program quality and service delivery.
