Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Job Summary
Ariadne Labs is a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Our goal is to drive scalable solutions for better care at critical moments in people’s lives everywhere. Better care means better health outcomes, lower costs, and more actual caring. Critical means solving health systems failures that have major impact, typically touching people by the millions. Ariadne Labs currently has programs that span the spectrum of health care, including childbirth, surgery, primary care, and serious illness.
In addition to teams organized around clinical areas, Ariadne Labs has teams organized around methodological expertise: Innovation, Science & Technology, and Implementation. We call these teams our platform teams. In academia, research teams are often siloed around a specific topic or question. They may have few opportunities to share lessons learned across research fields and may not always have access to a wide range of specialized skill sets. Our platform teams collaborate across topic areas as thought partners and provide technical expertise in designing, testing, and spreading solutions. Our matrixed structure allows us to collaborate on all projects, big or small, with expertise in data science, computer science, human-centered design, quality improvement, implementation, and more.
The Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist will report to the Assistant Director of the Implementation Platform and work across multiple projects, including the Delivery Decisions Initiative and Serious Illness Care Program, to provide support in designing, testing, and delivering effective quality improvement solutions and implementation plans to meet the needs of end users. Using the best practices from quality improvement and implementation, the Specialist will work with our programs and project teams to bring a solution to practice. They will engage at a deep level across clinical domains to build the capabilities, systems, and processes needed to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions. The Specialist will leverage managerial experiences and expertise in clinical settings to foster relationships between Ariadne Labs and the leaders and champions of healthcare facilities where implementation is taking place, both domestically and internationally, by effectively applying core principles of quality theory.
Ariadne Labs believes strongly in the values of teamwork, respect, ongoing learning and engagement to support work towards our vision.
If you’re excited about the position but don’t meet all the qualifications listed above, please apply anyway! Ariadne Labs is committed to fostering an environment founded in principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. We are always looking for candidates who will bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the organization.
