US B2B Marketing
Are you a marketer with a passion for leveraging data & insights to build relevant, meaningful content, aligned to customer needs? We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our team.
This role is part of B2B Marketing and is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of our Innovation Banking business, which is part of our Commercial Banking (CMB) in the US. The role will support and strengthen our brand and support business acquisition and retention goals for Innovation Banking via content marketing and data analysis.
The US Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the US Bank. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support revenue growth in the US, and increase customer value in order to meet agreed business outcomes.
The Opportunity – Content Marketing Manager
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced marketing professional to join our team and support the growth of HSBC Innovation Banking in the US. This is an exciting opportunity to
help our sales teams build deep relationships with the founders and CEOs of new and scaling technology companies- and their investors – by arming them with meaningful, data-driven content that offers a unique HSBC perspective.
You will work to define current and future customer needs, identify market opportunities, and mine data & insights to build content that meets the needs of the innovation ecosystem, while supporting business growth goals.
In this context, “content” refers to materials that help position HSBC a strategic partner and adds value for clients, from thought leadership to insight reports: to be shared across paid, earned and owned channels. In this role, you’ll analyze data and build content that plays a critical role at every stage of the client’s lifecycle, including building brand awareness, proving worthiness at the consideration stage, influencing purchase, and building client loyalty over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Synthesizing data and insights (from external & internal sources) to surface compelling insights that add value for our clients
- Leveraging those insights to produce data-driven content that can be leveraged across our marketing activities and channels to support business goals and demonstrate our sector expertise, including development of a regular, owned tech sector report
- Work within the US marketing team to effectively integrate and optimize sector content across innovation banking campaigns, comms, conferences, events, etc
- Utilizing content from the global Innovation banking team and edit or produce global content where relevant
- Identifying the right sources of data (internally and externally) and managing data partners / vendors
- Collaborating with sales teams to help crystallize customer needs and build out our HSBC point of view, integrating and elevating our internal subject matter experts where possible as part of thought leadership content
- Building sector-focused content for sales teams that demonstrates the breadth and depth of the HSBC Innovation Banking Platform
- Providing insight into key industry and company trends to ensure our content meets the needs of the innovative ecosystem.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $82,600 and $123,900.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

What you’ll bring
- 8+ Years of relevant marketing experience
- Entrepreneurial, extremely self-motivated, and success driven
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, and excel
- Experience with content marketing, thought leadership, content production, agency management
- Writing, communications or PR experience in the tech sector a plus
- Preference for candidates with experience working in the technology sector and innovation ecosystem
- Experience using both popular marketing and general analytics tools
- Ability to distil complex business and customer environment into simple, strategically sound and insight led stories.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across a matrix organization
- Passionate about technology start-ups and the venture ecosystem
- Extremely organized and process-oriented
- Self-directed and resourceful
- Positive and flexible
- Adaptable and calm in high-stress, tight deadline situations and patient in the face of changing priorities
- Great communicator with strong customer service skills who can interact well with people at all levels, from junior staff to CEOs
