This role supports the planning and execution of AutoNation’s corporate affairs strategies and programs, which include philanthropy, community engagement, employee engagement, and more. This role involves ensuring that AutoNation’s social and community impact aligns with its values and objectives while engaging with stakeholders to promote positive contributions to society. This role also serves as the liaison for the Corporate Affairs team and AutoNation’s community partners across the country facilitating strong partnerships and alignment with broader corporate objectives.

By driving impactful community-focused initiatives and philanthropic programs, this role will play a crucial part in enhancing the company's social responsibility footprint, building positive community relationships, and contributing to the company’s overall mission and values.
  • Contribute to the development of AutoNation’s corporate affairs strategy.
  • Manage the development of corporate charitable activities including fundraising, employee volunteerism and community engagement to ensure they align with the company's philanthropic mission and brand goals.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders including DRV PNK Cornerstone partners, community organizations, local government agencies, non-profits, and employees for the purpose of driving impactful programs that align with AutoNation’s corporate affairs strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage programs that support community engagement across AutoNation’s footprint.
  • Develop and manage activities that support fundraising for AutoNation’s DRV PNK corporate partners including donor events and employee fundraising campaigns.
  • Create and deploy corporate donor invoices and tax receipts, provide quarterly updates to AutoNation Accounting and Tax teams.
  • Monitor and report on program effectiveness and impact, using metrics and data to assess KPIs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in building processes and creating efficiencies to streamline fundraising activation and tracking collectively with the Corporate Affairs team.
  • Manage AutoNation’s company-wide point-of-sale fundraising program, including tracking fundraising, managing internal communication related to the program and managing point-of-purchase creation and distribution with the support of the Corporate Affairs Specialist.
  • Manage the creation and approval of content for internal communications including quarterly newsletters, employee spotlights and more.
  • Track fundraising and activation costs related to activities that support AutoNation’s DRV PNK cornerstone partners.
  • Assist in building processes and creating efficiencies to streamline fundraising activation and tracking collectively with the Corporate Affairs team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote activities related to AutoNation’s community and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of an annual DRV PNK impact report.
  • Summarize corporate fundraising data to support regular reports on performance metrics and outcomes for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Create quarterly presentations for AutoNation Foundation Grant Committee meetings and record and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Support special projects from AutoNation Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Communications.
  • Must meet the company’s requirements for employment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of community relations, corporate philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, marketing or non-profit experience.
  • Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility principles and social impact measurement.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer fluency in PC and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail.
  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
