Department of Sociology: Assistant Professor of Sociology

The Department of Sociology at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty appointment with a primary research focus on health and well-being, broadly conceived. The appointment begins in the fall semester of 2025.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in sociology or related field, or else complete all requirements for the Ph.D. by July 1, 2025, along with an active research agenda and a commitment to excellent teaching. Duties include research targeted for scholarly publication, undergraduate and graduate student teaching and advising, and participation in department and university service.
