POSITION: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

REPORTS TO: Principal

LOCATION:Various Schools

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements readiness classroom program of students ages 3 and 4 in a full day readiness pre-kindergarten program.
• Assists in the overall effective management and coordination of the daycare program.
• Assists in the activities of program planning, implementation, and ongoing need assessment.
• Assists in the development of the curriculum. Assists in facilitating communication between school and parents.
• Assists in toileting participants. Perform other related duties as by supervisor or designee.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Child Studies, or Human Development and Family Studies. 
• Experience working in a similar setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.    
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community.
• Develop and maintain favorable relationships with administration, staff and parents.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable.
• Must be willing to participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required.     
• College Transcripts must be uploaded along with application. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of Child Development Associates 2024-2025 Salary Grid S273: ($41,417 - $43,953). Ten-month position.
