Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently author, enact, and monitor EH&S programs, procedures, audits and compliance activities for manufacturing or service delivery site(s).
- Lead within an area of specialization to author and administer programs for the greater region.
Core EHS responsibilities:
- Participate in planning and developing EHS programs and operations; evaluates quality of services and operational performance; assesses compliance with Veolia policy, local, state, and federal regulations through program audits; makes recommendations for improvement.
- Assist business managers in their preparation of environmental, safety and health initiatives and budgets and in responses to customer EH&S surveys.
- Demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge in hazard recognition, evaluation, and control. Initiates and drives the development and execution of tactical and strategic initiatives to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate associated risks.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of producing presentations and other training materials.
- Work independently and works through interpersonal issues resulting in a successful project and teamwork.
- Effectively trains on high risk management standards and other WTS EHS requirements.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for wellbeing enhancement
- Collect, analyze and manage environmental data gathered in the facility.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Prepare and submit environmental permits (air, water, waste).
- Drive the reduction of the facility's environment footprint, in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years in EHS leadership or support positions
