Position located at the Picknelly Adult & Family Education Center, 206 Maple Street, Holyoke, MA

  • Provides a variety support to the PAFEC Facility Coordinator regarding regularly assigned activities and special projects.
  • Serves as the “greeter” at the main entrance and assists students and/or visitors with information and directions related to business within the facilities. Stays up-to-date on all Center activities in order to adequately respond to inquiries or to know where to refer.
  • Monitors the entrance and departure of employees, students, and visitors to ensure compliance with building guidelines.
  • Maintains tidiness of the facility.
  • Contacts campus police or HPD/HFD in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Additional duties as needed.

REQUIRED:  

  • High school diploma or GED; 
  • One (1) year working experience in an office and/or educational setting
  • Effective communication skills; 
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills; 
  • Commitment to working with diverse populations; 
  • Ability to multi-task; 
  • Well organized; 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google applications.
PREFERRED:  
  • Associate’s Degree/Certificate in a related field; Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Two (2) to three (3) years work experience in an office and/or educational setting

Part-time/non-benefited position

Hourly Rate:  $16.00 hour     

Hours:  Up to 18.5 hours per week;  Monday - Thursday 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p..m

- All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. HCC is not sponsoring H1B Visa. 
 - Pre-Employment Background check, including Criminal History will be conducted for all positions.
