Be part of our movement, let’s pursue excellence together.   Summary:The position reports to the SVP of Professional Education and collaborates closely with internal employees to educate on the Pacira portfolio. The position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to ensure all customer facing personnel as well as all employees have adequate knowledge given their area of responsibility. This role will also partner with human resources to ensure talent management and leadership development are enhanced and consistent.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Build upon and manage existing sales and medical training programs to ensure a high degree of professional selling skill and enhanced product and scientific knowledge of Pacira Products.
  • Deliver/guide training sessions for new sales representatives, national accounts leaders, clinical educator team and medical affairs team, changing the program as the business needs change.
  • Build out and maintain an ongoing skill / capability platform for our customer facing teams to drive continued improvement in those teams.
  • Ensure that all sales training activities are coordinated with and enhance Pacira’s marketing, sales, and medical affairs/medical science plans.
  • Partner with Human Resources Business Partners and Talent Management and Leadership Development Director to share best practices and achieve efficiencies across complementary training groups.
  • Routinely evaluate the effectiveness of and update Pacira’s customer facing training programs.
  • Maintain appropriate training records for all assigned Pacira personnel and managers.
  • Develop and implement ad hoc training programs to meet evolving business needs.
  • In coordination with executive leadership from Sales, Medical Affairs and Medical Health Science: design POA workshops, including developing leaders guides and participant materials.
  • Develop leader guides and present “Train the Trainer” for the sales management team  to train and develop sales team members.
  • Build upon and manage Field Trainer program to ensure up to the minute knowledge and resources are constantly and consistently being disseminated to the field.
  • Work with Sales and Medical Affairs to continue growing and developing their customer facing leadership personnel to create a leadership team and culture which drives outstanding patient care as well as business results.
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders within commercial organization to create, maintain and drive a culture of collaboration and results orientation.
  • Continuously measure and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility and actively manage departmental budget
  • Other projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This person will direct supervisory responsibility for the members of the professional education internal membersInteraction:The incumbent works closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, and Compliance leadership as well as Human Resources, Finance, Regulatory, Public Relations and ClinicalEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical/biotech experience. 4 years in sales management preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years sales training experiences.
