Position Purpose

The Parts Counter Sales Representative is responsible for keeping track of Gold Coast JCB parts inventory, receiving, and selling. You will work together with our Service departments and provide them the necessary support utilizing Gold Coast JCB unique abilities as JCB authorized dealer in the territory. You will perform the following:

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary Job Role
    • Handles inbound parts inquiries from customers and our service department.
    • Research and places parts orders from JCB and other vendors.
    • Direct ship parts to customers or coordinate parts pickup.
    • Handle all customer inquiries in an effective and responsive manner.
    • Maintain parts inventory and do routine inventory counts.
    • Research and advice technicians of parts and order status.
    • Initiate sales calls to existing customers to replenish inventory and promote sales.
    • Respond quickly to leads and qualified customers
    • Develop and present to customers sales quotes and proposals as needed
    • Established new customer accounts, while servicing and maintaining existing accounts, developing strong and productive customer relationships.
    • Utilize CRM system to manage customer relationships, interactions and keep account information updated.
    • Meet and exceed strategic goals for the department.
    • Meet set requirements and goals for continued professional development.

·       Essential Job Qualifications

    • High School diploma
      • Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of educational qualifications.
    • 3+ years of experience in a similar sales position, in a heavy machinery, truck, or diesel engine industry selling parts or related products.
    • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
    • Knowledge of heavy machinery, truck or diesel engine industries.

·       Necessary Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with emphasis on phone and in person skills. Other important communication skills: verbal, written, and email.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills; ability to think outside the box.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
    • Detail oriented and thorough.
    • Strong desire to win.
