Position Summary
St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a Head Swimming Coach. This is a seasonal part-time position. Position is expected to coach sport within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Assistant Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
Essential Functions
Job Duties
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Advanced understanding of key principles of teaching, learning and assessment,
- Ability to plan and deliver detailed and well thought out lessons with an understanding of learners' needs, utilizing an extensive range of teaching techniques.
- Ability to create assessments that accurately measure students' learning.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Required Education
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Required Work Experience
Two (2) years of experience as a swim instructor at any level, preferably at the high school level.
Preferred Qualifications
College Degree.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
- Must have a valid CDL or the ability to obtain CDL within 3 months of hire.
- Driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
Work Hours
PT coach practice hours are Mon-Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30-5:30pm. Game schedule attendance is mandatory.
Physical Demands
Ability to carry equipment weighing up to 25lbs.
