Job Responsibilities
The Health Families America Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on management of the site and is involved in planning, budgeting, staffing, training, quality assurance, and evaluation. The Program Manager is also responsible for ongoing collaboration with community and state partners, public relations, and maintaining positive working relationships with early childhood partners and providers. Must be knowledgeable of and have maintained experience in providing home-based services, as well as have been trained in and have experience in completing the screening and assessment procedures utilized to determine families to be served by the program. May also act as a liaison with other agencies and monitor contracts as well as ongoing program development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience performing work related to the area of assignment, which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 3 (HCP092) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health or human services administration or fields related to working with children and families
- administrative experience in human services or a related field, including experience in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement.
- experience with family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
- experience in home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention services
- willingness to engage in building reflective practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing the value of supervision, etc.)
- Infant mental health endorsement preferred
- experience with reflective practice preferred
Additional Information
