Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a High Temperature Electrolysis Data Analysis postdoctoral researcher in the Hydrogen and Electrochemistry department reporting to the project investigator. You will work with team members to develop and evaluate high temperature steam electrolysis stacks and systems. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: use of machine learning tools and algorithms applied to high temperature steam electrolysis, electrochemistry, instrumentation and controls, and steam generation. 
  • Data analysis in areas such as the storage, processing, interpretation, and publication of research data and results.
  • Interface with other researchers to develop new concepts and technologies.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • PhD requirements in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, material science or related disciplines must be completed by commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years.
  • Demonstrated oral and published written communication skills (in English).
  • Developing publication record in the area of machine learning, data analysis, or nuclear technology.


Job Information: 

  • The salary for this position is $96,900.00 annually. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
