Job Responsibilities

Purpose of the Position: 
Under general supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for the Community Health Worker and Health Equity program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program issues. Drafts meeting minutes, documentation, and reports. Represents the program unit; provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.

This is an hourly position, up to 24 hours per week.

This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to): 

  • Provides administrative support to the Health Equity and Community Engagement Director and related direct reports
  • Assist with in-person and virtual meeting/training/event facilitation and setup at Cobb & Douglas Public Health, within Cobb and Douglas Counties, and within indoor and outdoor environments
  • Coordinates Microsoft Outlook calendars

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency 
  • Able to change direction on a task seamlessly
  • Detailed-oriented and highly organized
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
 
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Work will generally occur in an office environment between Tuesdays and Thursdays (8-hours per day, 24-hour work week) but there will be work that occurs within the community in outdoor and indoor settings that would require travel. Occasional evening and weekend work. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. This position is not eligible to telework.

Salary Information:   $20.00/Hr. | Part-time Up to 24 hrs./ week | No Benefits
