As the housekeeper, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping services throughout university facilities to provide a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment for employees, students, and guests. In this role you will report needed repair work to your supervisor in a timely fashion, take inventory and maintain cleaning and janitorial supplies associated with the property, and oversee and participate in the cleaning of the kitchen. Responsibilities include assisting with setting up and serving at events and functions, receiving guests at the door, and assisting management with organizing the staffing schedule(s) and cleaning routine. This position requires you to ensure linens are ready for pick-up and properly labeled, log and separate damaged linens, maintain the working condition of job-related machines, report maintenance concerns, and maintain shelves in an orderly manner. Additionally, you will ensure all equipment and linens meet college standards and will occasionally assist in the linen department.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least two years of related experience and/or training
  • Must have a reliable vehicle

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver's license

Travel Required:

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
