As a HR Tech II within the Human Resources department at the East Central Public Health,you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Job Responsibilities

Greet incoming staff / visitors
Reviewing applications and referring candidates to hiring manager
Scanning employee documents to Their employee file
Verify all documents are turned in and information correct within interview
packet and uploading
Update HR database with interview schedule
Entering new hire information in database
Call references for selected candidate
Employee leave taken into database
Send hiring manager new hire forms and evaluations
Sending new hire information to supervisors and new hire
Tracking new hire paperwork
Enter interview schedule
Track Temp employees
Answers the HR Help Desk Ticketing System.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma / GED and 1 year experience performing human
resources job-related functions; or one year experience required at the
lower-level HR Tech 1 (HRT010) or position equivalent.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel, word, and Outlook office 365

Preferred:
Working experience with:
*HR database such as PeopleSoft, Workday, or NeoGov
DocuSign
*Tracking staff attendance
*Job postings
Must be a self-starter
Strong attention to detail

  Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
 
  DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
