As an accredited public health department, we're seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of IT EHR Business Analyst 3 to join the Division of Information Technology in Atlanta, GA.
Job Summary
Under broad supervision, analyzes enterprise-wide customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced EHR systems that may serve multiple state entities. Establishes standards and procedures to be used in the development of systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and support of HL7 standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinical staff, administrators, and developers, to gather and document business requirements for the EHR system.
- Provide advanced Windows troubleshooting and support for our software and cloud platform.
- Collaborate with developers and administrators to resolve technical issues and enhance platform performance.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to understand their issues and provide timely solutions.
- Compose clear and detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data, adhering to best practices and company policies.
- Utilize available tolls like REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation purposes.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
- Manage and maintain EHR and practice management systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally and securely.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
- Provide technical support to end-users, by interfacing with vendor Support Teams to address issues related to software promptly.
- Assist corporate trainers with training programs for clinic staff to ensure efficient use of the EHR system.
- Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement within the EHR system.
- Generate and analyze reports to support clinical and administrative decision-making.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud platforms and supporting software applications.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Availability to work on-call or during off-hours as needed to support hospital IT operations.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems like JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking and ticket management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of IT security tools and protocols.
- Proficiency in HL7 and IT security best practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPPA standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree and three (3) years of related experience.
OR
Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level IT Enterprise Business Analyst 2 (ITP181) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or minimum of 2 years' experience working with Hospital IT or equally complex systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience managing EHR and Practice Management systems in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in (EHR) system implementation, configuration, and support.
