you’ll oversee and influence the overall design and testing of products, applications, and infrastructure to ensure proper architecture and maintain high-quality levels by minimizing defects and failures. This role ensures overall design aligns with enterprise standards, identifies gaps requiring changes, and drives these to closure. Additionally, develop process improvement plans as part of operational feedback processes to enable both design and build improvements. Provide oversight to solution engineering and build processes, with primary focus on SAP technologies and in addition covering various leading-edge technologies such as Analytics, Microsoft technologies, Snowflake, API’s etc. 

Drive quality into product design and build to ensure system stability and effective operations. Establish quality metrics, analyze reports and defective products to identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. Act independently and lead key decisions with stakeholder engagement, including senior leadership. Resolve system quality issues with vendors and project representatives, ensure effective corrective actions are implemented, and contribute to project quality improvement programs. Provide strategic direction for technologies across the enterprise, collaborating with architects to maintain architectural standards and drive innovation and transformational solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, measures, and improves application service delivery to meet business needs, ensuring service level agreements and business expectations for quality and timely resolution for application issues and operational activities are met
  • Leads technology evaluation, design, and implementation of infrastructure platforms supporting multiple database platforms, including refresh/upgrades, new feature enablement, and tool acquisition
  • Supports the development of best practices and governance for integration of complex systems, ensuring deliverables meet proper standards and requirements traceability
  • Oversees Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure that products built are free of flaws, function as designed, follow design standards, and leverage existing and innovative technologies optimally and effectively
  • Executes and leads Agile initiatives for projects and enhancements, facilitating collaboration and training with others
  • Participates in strategic budget planning and analyzes project budget and multi-year financial projections for ongoing capital and operational costs for large initiatives within the portfolio
  • Identifies project scope gaps, makes recommendations, and decides on product design and product readiness for large or company-wide transformation projects that impact project schedule and funding
  • Analyzes defect reports, incident trends and other metrics post-implementation to assess application stability/quality to implement engineering service improvement programs based on the feedback loop
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience with IT systems management, software development lifecycle, and infrastructure management.
  • Experience supporting Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations.

The preferred 

  • Experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, processes, and principles. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • comprehensive training in Scrum methodologies.
  • 10+ years of experience integrating input from solution architecture and business requirements, designing and developing systems, integrations, designs, strategies, roadmaps and models in an enterprise environment including mobile and Cloud applications in addition to on-prem.

You should know 

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
