Job Description
Virtix Health offers a range of services and products to its clients. The Power BI Developer is responsible for building, analyzing, enhancing and supporting best-in-class, business focused reporting and analytics.
The role develops and updates BI reports as well as communicates actionable insights to improve existing internal and external data information. In addition to the creation and maintenance of data models, the Power BI Developer must also have the communication skills to work with internal Business partners to understand the needs of their clients.
The primary role of the Power BI developer is to deliver business intelligence services, lead Power BI software development and present Power BI reports by transforming raw data into cohesive, valuable reports capturing meaningful business insights.
The Power BI Developer must abide with HIPAA regulations pertaining to safeguarding and protecting patient’s right to privacy in handling all medical chart records.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirement and data sources in collaboration with the Power BI leadership team
- Utilize Power BI to maintain and update existing dashboards
- Interpret business requirements to provide support building a scalable reporting platform
- Provide support to the Power BI leadership team to institute data governance and traceability
- Develop functional, analytical, and technical aptitude, creative problem-solving, and business process integration capabilities showing a deep understanding of business requirements.
- Run queries and run ad-hoc analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 3+ years of experience working with Business Analytics tools developing Reporting and Dashboards
- 1-2 years of experience using Power BI, DAX, Data Modeling
- 1-2 years of experience in database technologies and SQL query writing skills, preferable SQL Server
- Experienced in creating Power BI visualizations
- Experience working in Agile development environment with tools such as Jira
- Ability to work successfully in a matrixed organization
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
