JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research, draft, review, and revise memoranda on topics such as real estate and regulatory compliance law.
- Work with various National Marketing Operations and Client Marketing teams to gain knowledge of their respective functions and role within the broader property marketing support strategy.
- Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s).
- Assist in maintaining general marketing governance functions.
- Research legal compliance issues at federal, state, or local level and compile guidelines and summaries.
- Research Real Estate Brokerage issues at federal, state, or local level and compile guidelines and summaries.
- Assist with other special projects and programs as requested
Preferred Licenses or Certifications:
- Enrolled as an active student in Juris Doctor program at ABA accredited law school with expected graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
- Completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate program
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated effective communication to prepare and explain compliance reporting to key business leaders and the Company’s support and functional groups.
- Skilled proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets, and completed required memoranda and reports in a paperless environment.
- Proven analytical capabilities and ability to deliver quality results while meeting compressed deadlines.
- Ability to develop and manage project work plans and timelines.
- Understanding of complex legal concepts and terminology.
- Knowledge of the rules of confidentiality and privilege.
- Familiarity with search engines in order to perform legal research.
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed fashion as well as collaboratively.
- Preferred but not required: Business/marketing background with experience in corporate governance, compliance matters, or general corporate.
The Greystar Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive opportunity in which interns discover new skills and gain hands-on experience while working for the leading multifamily real estate developer, investor, owner, and operator. Through supportive coaching and professional guidance, the Greystar Internship expands on classroom knowledge, helping you translate your experience into a successful and rewarding career.
The compensation range for this position is $25 per hour.
This internship is remote, with the option for a hybrid schedule if you are located near one of our office locations. We encourage local interns to take advantage of this flexibility and engage in person as needed
The Greystar Intern Program will run from June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
